What to have ready for a claim
- Your insurer’s name and your policy number, and the claim number if you have already reported it.
- The vehicle’s year, make and model, and the VIN: it is on the dash at the base of the windshield and on the driver’s door frame.
- Which glass is damaged, when and how it happened, and a photo if you can take one.
- Where the car will be for the visit, and whether there is cover overhead.
